My Company: Business Rule Solutions, LLC

I co-founded Business Rule Solutions, LLC with Gladys S.W. Lam in 1996. All my consulting and speaking is through BRS.

Our company was founded on two basic ideas:

• First, although IT is involved in almost every aspect of businesses today, businesses nonetheless need business solutions to address business problems.

• Second, business rules are an essential part of any effective business solution.

The former idea was the brainchild of my partner, who was instrumental in applying structured strategy as a requirements technique. Only recently have standards emerged for that area (OMG's Business Motivation Model); she was the pioneer in making the idea originally happen.
